Luo Yang is one of the oldest and the most historically significant Chinese cities, which served as the capital city of a dozen of dynasties. The city is located in Henan Province, the central part of China, also known for its historical relics including Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring thousands of Buddhist carvings, and The White Horse Temple, the very first Buddhist temple in China. Besides historical heritages, Luo Yang is also famous for the large amounts of peonies planted, as well as various local food. These attractions have made Luo Yang a strong representative of ancient Chinese culture and tradition. The reason why I chose to depict this city as one of my visual themes is that I am significantly impressed by the historical sites, especially the Buddhist carvings that contain a variety of lines depicting the shapes of each character with numerous gestures.

This piece contains the most famous tourism attractions in Luo Yang, also including the brand new transportation system, which could be a great support for tourists. I continued to use strong color palette as well, aiming to enhance the visual effect and attract more attention.
